This outdoor living project was designed to transform an underutilized pergola into a comfortable, layered retreat—perfect for relaxing, entertaining, and enjoying the Houston climate.

The foundation of the design focuses on clean lines and natural materials, allowing the architecture and surrounding landscape to remain the highlight. Warm wood tones, stone paving, and soft neutral upholstery create a balanced backdrop that feels both grounded and inviting.

Custom outdoor drapery panels were introduced to soften the structure and define the space. Fabricated in durable, weather-appropriate materials, the curtains add movement, privacy, and a sense of enclosure without sacrificing airflow. When open, they frame the seating area; when closed, they create a more intimate setting.

A curated mix of furnishings provides both comfort and function. Deep seating with performance cushions offers everyday livability, while accent pillows in layered green tones bring in subtle color and pattern inspired by the natural surroundings.
