Elevated Everyday Dining

A creative couple wanted to elevate their dining room with a touch of sophistication while maintaining a relaxed, welcoming feel. Custom drapery was a top priority, softening the architecture and enhancing natural light.

This redesign transforms a once heavy space into a light-filled setting rooted in relaxed elegance. A tailored rug, classic round dining table, and updated light fixture create balance and refinement, while layered neutrals and clean lines bring warmth and cohesion. The result is a timeless dining space designed for effortless everyday gatherings.

Mesa-Inspired Transitional Classic

Open-Concept Living

An empty nest couple wanted their modern Houston home to feel warm, refined, and ideal for entertaining. Inspired by their Santa Fe retreat, they requested a cognac and navy color palette with a transitional classic style that balances Southwestern character with clean, contemporary lines.

WM Spaces refreshed the open-concept living, dining, and kitchen areas with cohesive furnishings and accessories. A cognac leather sectional anchors the living room against a deep navy accent wall, layered with tailored pillows, a patterned rug, and textural drapery for softness and depth. In the dining area, tan leather chairs, a warm wood table, and a navy sideboard create a sophisticated focal point, while curated artwork and accessories complete the look. The result is a cohesive, inviting space designed for relaxed everyday living and effortless entertaining.

Calm, Durable Everyday Comfort

A busy single mother with children and pets wanted a stylish yet durable open-concept living and dining space that could handle everyday life in Houston, TX. The design blends modern organic style with family-friendly materials to create a calm environment that balances comfort, function, and clean design. In the living room, a flexible sectional and accent chair upholstered in Crypton performance fabric provide comfortable, spill-resistant seating. Natural textures—including a wool hand-tufted rug, hair-on-hide pouf, greenery, and clean-lined wood furniture—add warmth while defining the living area and creating a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.

The dining area features an artisan-crafted oyster-cut wood table that highlights the beauty of natural materials. Performance fabric dining chairs provide supportive, easy-care seating for everyday meals, while a hand-knotted Turkish rug, ceramic artisan vases, and botanical accents add layered texture. Together, these elements connect the interior to the outdoor patio and complete a cohesive modern organic design suited for comfortable family living.

Refreshed Guest Bedroom Retreat


Relaxed Hospitality

Soft Privacy with Natural Light

In this open-concept living and kitchen space, the homeowners wanted to maintain their outdoor views while adding privacy—especially in the evenings. Custom linen drapery panels with a light-filtering lining were installed on traversing rods, allowing flexible coverage across both sliding doors. The result is a soft, layered look that diffuses light during the day and provides privacy at night while complementing the home’s warm, modern farmhouse design.

Restful, Light-Controlled Bedroom

A retired couple wanted their bedroom to feel darker and more restful for sleep. While their existing roller shades provided privacy, they did not block enough light. Custom drapery panels were added on black French return rods to frame the windows and significantly reduce incoming light while maintaining a clean, tailored look. The layered window treatment enhances both comfort and function, transforming the room into a calm and restful retreat.
